I Knew I Wasn't Gay

I knew there was a reason why I was inexplicably drawn to the Food Network. Well, okay, maybe not inexplicably drawn, but strangely drawn, seeing as how my cooking skills are summed up as "applying fire to meat". When I was visiting my friend in Scottsdale, we were constantly changing the remote to FoodTV, to check out how hot the host was. Finally, we found Giada de Laurentis, and we watched it like porn. It looks like this phenomenon is well known (i.e., FoodTV popular with the "can't cook, won't cook" male crowd). There's a recent article in Harper's about the parallels betweeen cooking shows and porn, which has been acknowledged for years in the industry.
