Game Tonight

We're about to go out to the Saddle Creek Lodge, and their menu features fresh and mildly exotic game. Even though I'll have the very rare chance to eat elk, I'll probably get the ling cod. I've caught one of these in the SF Bay before, when I was a teenager, and even back then we joked about how much mercury the thing probably contained. Maybe I'll just get the elk or venison, if it's fresh.
